Autumn has come in thick and fast and with it has come the torrential rain, high winds and sweater weather we were dreading. Despite that doom and gloom, it has been a really lovely and productive month here at the Wisegroup, with some amazing customer stories, new projects and events!
The Engagement and Influence team have been working hard on reports, content and posts and we have some really exciting work in the pipelines! The Be Wise Together team, our internal wellbeing focused platforms also hosted two amazing events, one in Glasgow and one in Newcastle, showcasing to our enterprise the fantastic resources available for our colleagues.
The EPOP team have been extremely busy, hosting lots of events at the Insights23 festival while also hitting 1000 participants in their POP talk sessions. Feedback has been really positive, including ‘Out of all the meetings I had today, I was looking forward to this one the most!’. It’s all steam ahead for the next few months, and we cant wait to see the EPOP teams progress.
In terms of our Employment and Skills colleagues, huge targets have been met. Over 550k has been claimed for customers getting help with Attendance Allowance Support while there were also lots of training sessions for a range of different sectors being held. On top of this, Wise Starts, a week long training course focused on promoting working at the Wise Group was held in our Paisley hub! It has certainly been a very packed month for the team.
As we enter winter our HEAT and HES teams are also working extremely hard helping customers with their energy usage. A video of a day in the life of a HES colleague is coming soon, so stay tuned for that! Our Relational Mentoring project with the Scottish Government has also passed 700 referrals this month!
We also want to take a moment to thank our long-time colleague, and our informal master mentor Charlie Martin for his huge contributions to the Wise Group over the past few decades. Charlie has been key in shaping all things justice for the Wisegroup, started Wise Aid and has been a pillar of support across the enterprise. Good luck on your retirement Charlie, we wish you all the happiness possible!
Thankyou for reading, see you next month!
