Wise Choices offers support, guidance and mentoring for male offenders aged 25 and over.
A mentoring approach and access into specialist interventions means customers develop the skills to take control over their lives and challenge barriers that contribute to a cycle of re-offending.
We look at each customer’s strengths, allowing them to use their own skills and experiences to overcome the challenges they face.
We do this through our mentors, many of whom have previous convictions themselves. This mentoring approach encourages change through a support package that is holistic and offers wrap around support, often calling on our specialist partners, including SAMH, Turning Point Scotland and Families Outside.
The strength of this relationship and its impact on the behaviours and attitudes of each person we work with is the key to achieving successful outcomes and reducing re-offending.
